Great for Skylar maybe one day he be in your position by working hard, and doing what's right,I'm glad that some young up and comers are showing there on the hunt for management roles,by working hard,we need better mangers desperately, the last time I spoke to one he said I don't work that hard, wrong example to set for your employees, ever wonder why they don't work as hard its from higher ups who just do the bare minimum, just to get a bonus,I think that the company should rethink the bonus not just for store manager and assistant manager, who do you think stocks the store runs the depts.not just the manager and assistant, reward the entire store and the store would run entirely different, instead of employees burned out and frustrated by lack of good management,as an assistant manager at my second job I work hard to show what is expected by doing the job to my best even after my full time position here,my work ethic is my calling card, who I am and strive to be,if you let your employees down constantly nothing will ever change, take note manager and assistants managers, there is always people who are wanting your spot, step up!

It’s National Black Reading Month. Did you know literacy has a profound impact on a student’s educational journey? Research shows that if a student has poor reading skills by the end of third grade, they are 4 times less likely to graduate from high school and 6 times less likely if they come from low income families. That’s why this month, we're not just turning pages; we're turning the tide for Black student achievement. Our Black Student Achievement goals include: 💫 Secure the funding necessary to uplift Black students on their educational journey.💫 Addressing not only educational needs but also social, emotional, and community support.💫 Inform the community at large about the current state of Black student achievement initiatives. This #NationalBlackReadingMonth, we invite you to join us on this journey:Read more on the impact of student learning loss: https://lnkd.in/gG7nn_GV

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of the great teachers out here! April and May are no joke in classrooms, so if you know great teachers, send them an encouraging note, lift them up, or say a little prayer for them, especially those who serve in high poverty schools. The data doesn’t lie. “In Missouri, 44 percent of newly-hired teachers leave in their first three years in the classroom and about 54 percent leave within the first five years.” Yes, our ultimate goal should be optimal academic and social emotional outcomes for children. However, school systems have to figure out paths forward that don’t compromise the wellness of their frontline workers - the teachers. To school boards, executive teams, and leadership teams all over the nation, I challenge you to be incredibly mindful of your decision-making process as it relates to student achievement. Are your systems sustainable for the teachers who are driving those outcomes? Are you making decisions without genuine teacher voice? Are you fairly compensating teachers for their efforts? I will forever be an advocate and champion for great teachers. If you are one of them, treat yourself to something special just for you this week! You’ve earned it! 🍎🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏
