I’m only 5 weeks in but am nervous about whether I should continue exercising. I never do anything heavy - just cardio, light weights and squats. There’s so many different articles online that I’m unsure which to follow? I plan on asking my doctor during my first appointment next week, but would love to hear your opinions firsthand!

You can do what you are used to doing, just take it easy. I ran the whole 9months with my first two pregnancies and I plan to again with this one. I just don’t run as fast and make sure not to do it in extreme heat.

Yes, do it. The more you move, the better you will feel. It strangely helps my nausea. I'm the third trimester when you are in pain everywhere, it really helps. Movement helps!

yes. Of course, consult your OB if you have any special circ*mstances, but mine told me to continue my 30 minute daily walks/arm weights. I find it gives me a little boost of energy and mostly helps calm my anxiety. And, any movement daily can really help reduce risk of gestational diabetes and preeclampsia

Absolutely ok. I always check this with my dr. I love cardio - mainly aerobics and running and got the all clear. You might not be able to go as hard but you won’t want to anyway!
