Elden Ring: The 10 Best Weapons For An Intelligence Build
Intelligence helps those who are wanting to work with sorcery, therefore, knowing the proper weapons for your build is crucial.
It’s essential to try and find balance while playing Elden Ring to not miss out on any legendary item or armor given as a reward for completing a certain Quest. However, although some Quests are hidden, completing them might not reward anything special, so keep that in mind.
Updated on August 8, 2024, by Nahda Nabiilah: Many Tarnished can be hyper-focused on completing Elden Ring to the point that they might miss a few NPC Quests or two. To be fair, some of these Quests don’t really appear to be continuous and look like a one-time conversation, like Igon, for example. However, in true FromSoftware fashion, there is a plethora of hidden content in Elden Ring base game and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and characters’ Questlines are definitely among them.
10 Boc
Best Seamster in the Lands Between
Boc the Seamster is a fragile creature who learned the art of sewing from his late mother. To find him, players need to pass next to a specific bush in Limgrave. Otherwise, Boc won’t call out for help. He got transformed into a bush by those who stole his Tailoring Tools as well as Sewing Needle and made fun of him.
If players wish for Boc’s services to become available, they need to retrieve his kit from the Coastal Cave and give it to him. Later on, Boc expresses how much he wishes to be reborn by visiting Rennala, and Tarnished can stop him by using the Prattling Pate "You're Beautiful" item.
9 Rya
Volcano Manor’s Scout
Completing Rya’s questline is somewhat sad, to say the least, as she’s a half-snake that can’t seem to fit anywhere. You will first encounter her in Liurnia of the Lakes inside one of the gazebos looking for the thief who stole her necklace. After retrieving said necklace, she invites you to the Volcano Manor and proceeds to wait near the Lift in Altus Plateau.
The real Rya Quest starts in Volcano Manor as players must complete some assassination Quests and listen to Rya’s secret while speaking with Tanith to finally receive some sort of reward. Tarnished will likely lock themselves out of Rya’s Quest as they progress through the Volcano Manor, where they will eventually kill Rykard .
8 Patches
Patches the Untethered
While exploring Murkwater Cave in Limgrave, Tarnished will come across Patches (NPC) as a boss fight once they open his chest. After the boss is down to 50% health, he starts begging to be spared. Obviously, killing him will lock out his Quest, where he acts as a merchant and shares some exclusive secrets about the Lands Between.

Other than the fact that he opens a shop and sells some precious items like Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot to increase Runes gain, he’s also the one who hints that beneath the esteemed Raya Lucaria Academy is an Abductor Virgin who transports players into the scorching hell of Volcano Manor.
7 D, Beholder Of Death
D, Hunter of the Dead's twin brother
D, Beholder of Death’s Quest is actually triggered by completing a few steps of Fia’s Quest in Elden Ring. After killing D, Hunter of the Dead at the Roundtable Hold, you will find him weeping in the Great Waterfall Basin, which is located in Nokron, Eternal City. Not triggering Fia’s Quest or progressing too much in the game may result in D’s disappearance.
One of the benefits of D’s Quest is the ability to summon him as a phantom to help with the Twin Gargoyles boss fight. Additionally, a hidden dialogue will take place at the end of Fia’s Quest where he finally avenges his dead twin.
6 Swordhand Of Night Jolan
Count Ymir's Trusted Soldier
Not many are aware that Jolan has her own Quest as most will consider it the same as Count Ymir’s Quest in Elden Ring SOTE. While both Quests have a lot in common, you can gain extra valuable items from completing Jolan’s Quest.

Shadow of The Erdtree: Jolan Full Quest Walkthrough - Elden Ring DLC
Jolan's quest and Count Ymir's quest start with similar steps but then Jolan's quest branches out in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.
After obtaining the third map, you can head to the third location and fight Anna, Jolan’s sister. Speak with Jolan to hear some interesting lines before proceeding with Count Ymir’s Quest. Additionally, once you defeat everyone, Tarnished can give Jolan either an Iris of Grace or an Iris of Occultation to receive Swordhand of Night Jolan spirit ashes or the Sword of Night , respectively.
5 Fire Knight Queelign
Queen Marika's Loyal Subject
Fire Knight Queelign is encountered as an NPC invader in the Beluart Tower Settlement, which is why some Tarnished won’t consider him having a Quest of his own. You need to fight him again as an invader in the Church of the Crusade to receive the Prayer Room Key .
Next, when players arrive at the Church District of the Shadow Keep, it’s possible to use the key and open a locked door inside the chapel. There, you will meet the real Fire Knight Queelign and speak with him. To end the Quest, either offer an Iris of Grace to receive the Fire Knight Queelign spirit ashes, or give an Iris of Occultation to receive Queelign's Greatsword .
4 Jar Bairn
The Youngest Warrior Jar
Jar Bairn is related to Iron Fist Alexander and wishes to be just like him when he grows up. Upon reaching the Jarburg village for the first time, players will encounter all types of Jar, including Jar Bairn. The Quest is a bit time-consuming and might seem unfinished as the little jar doesn’t interact much with you until Diallos appears, since unfortunately, players' hands aren't smooth enough to become Potentate.
Complete a couple of steps from Diallos’ Quest until he leaves the Volcano Manor and joins the Jarburg village, and then finish Iron Alexander’s Quest to receive a special Talisman in Elden Ring from Jar Bairn. Most players might not realize there's a connection between Diallos from the House Hoslow and Jar Bairn.
3 Igon
Bayle! Vile Bayle! O terror incarnate!
While peacefully traveling near the Pillar Path Site of Lost Grace, you will be interrupted by a loud wail coming from Igon. Some might talk to him and continue their journey without giving the NPC a second thought. In reality, Igon has a full Questline where players need to defeat a couple of dragons until they reach the strongest of them all, Bayle.
If his Quest is done correctly, Tarnished will meet Igon and speak with him in multiple places. At the final location, the poor NPC asks you to summon him so he can fight Wretched Bayle at your side, giving you extra help against the boss. Completing the Quest rewards you with Igon's Set as well as Igon's Greatbow .
2 Latenna
The Albinauric Woman
Although Latenna is first encountered in the Slumbering Wolf's Shack found in Liurnia of the Lakes, she won’t agree to speak with players because she considers them one of the barbarians who destroyed her village. To not miss out on her Quest, you need to speak with the disguised Albus at the Village of the Albinaurics to get one part of the Haligtree Secret Medallion and then seek Latenna, otherwise, her Quest is locked and only her ashes are found.
Once Latenna figures out that you are a friend, not a foe, she requests her Ashes to be taken to the Apostate Derelict in the Concentrated Snowfield, where she rewards a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone .
1 Blaidd
Ranni's Most Faithfull Ally
Tarnished will first hear about Blaidd from Kale in the Church of Elleh. The merchant will explain the mysterious howling heard near the Mistwood Ruins and give players a special gesture to trigger the Quest. Upon using the gesture near the Mistwood Ruins, Blaidd will appear and explain his mission. You can summon Blaidd to fight Darriwil in the Forlorn Hound Evergaol and, later on, to fight General Radahn.
